Diabetes is a disease in which digestion of carbohydrates is hindered and hence sugar passes through urine and blood-concentration of sugar increases. Sugar digestion is carried out by secretion of insulin from the pancreas and in diabetes the pancreatic secretion is not formed. Thus in diabetes the digestive system is affected and secondarily, blood and urinary systems are involved. When diabetes becomes chronic, other complications involving all the systems of the body do occur; but we are here concerned only with the preliminary stage of the affliction.
As this is disease process, the 6th house must be primarily involved. The 4th house represents digestive system, so this must also be involved. As sugar passes through urine and blood sugar also increases, we must also look into the watery signs and see if they are involved or not.
Virgo represents the abdominal contents, so in some cases this sign also may be involved. If all these factors are related to malefics we may presume with due emphasis that the native is likely to be a patient of diabetes.
I am presenting below ten charts of proved diabetes where all the above factors are confirmed.
The 6th house is aspected by malefics in Charts 2, 3, 5, 6, 9 and 10.
Malefics are posited in the 6th house in Charts 1, 5, 6, 10.
The lord of the 6th house is conjunct or aspected by malefics in Charts 1,4,6,7,8, 9.
Thus we can see that in all the Charts, the 6th house is afflicted by malefics.
From Chandra Lagna (Moon-sign) also, the 6th house is affected by malefics as follows:
The 6th house is aspected by malefics in charts 5, 6, 7, 8, 10.
Malefics are posited in the 6th house in Charts 3, 8, 10.
Lord of the 6th house in conjunction or aspect of malefics in Charts 1, 4, 6, 7, 10.
Thus except Charts 2 and 9 in all charts, the 6th house from the Moon also is afflicted.
Similarly the 4th house is afflicted.
Malefics in the 4th house in Charts 2, 7, 8, 9.
Malefics aspecting 4th house in Charts 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10.
Thus all 10 charts show 4th house affliction by malefics.
From the Moon also similar results are seen. Malefics in or aspecting the 4th house are found in Charts 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10.
Malefics aspecting lord of the 4th house are seen in Charts 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10.
Virgo ruling abdominal organs is conjunct or aspected by malefic in Charts 4, 5, 6, 7, 10.
Watery signs are afflicted by malefics in the following charts: Cancer is afflicted in Charts 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10; Scorpio is afflicted in Charts 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9,10; and Pisces is afflicted in Charts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10.
There should also be some relation of the 4th house to the 6th house.
In Chart 1 – no relationship. The lord of 4th house aspects the 4th house in Charts 2, 9, 10 and 3. In Chart 4 lords of 4th and 6th are conjunct. In Chart 5 lord of 4th from the Moon aspects the 6th house. In Chart 6 lord of 6th house aspects the 4th house and the 4th lord. In Chart 7 lord of 6th house from the Moon is in the 4th house. In Chart 8 lord of the 6th house aspects the 4th house.
We can also see Virgo related to the 6th house as follows:
In Chart 1 – Virgo is the 10th house with Mercury and Mercury is with 6th lord Venus. In Chart 3 – Nil; in Charts 4, 6 – Virgo is in the 4th house; in Charts 5, 10 – Virgo is in the 6th house; in Chart 7 – Mercury in 4th, Virgo in the 10; in Chart 8 – Mercury aspected by 6th lord and 4th lord; and in Chart 9 – Virgo in 12th aspecting 6th house.
From the foregoing facts, we can conclude that if we see any of the following in a native’s chart, we may expect him to be a diabetic any time in his life:

3. Watery signs afflicted by malefics.
4. Any relationship between 6th and 4th.
5. Any relationship between Virgo and the 6th or 4th house.
